Radial lip seals are an excellent alternative to traditional oil seals when high pressure, high rotational speeds, or compliance with food contact standards - EC 1935:2004 and FDA CFR 21§177.2600 are required.
These specialized seals for rotating shafts are designed for both pressure and vacuum environments, meeting the stringent requirements of food-grade sealing equipment.
Instead of a traditional coil spring, radial lip seals use a preloaded membrane, creating a low-friction seal that reduces wear on both the sealing lip and the shaft. This innovative design significantly extends seal life and minimizes maintenance needs.

Radial lip seals can withstand rotational speeds up to 40 m/s and pressures up to 15 bar, making them ideal for demanding applications.
