In-house test facilities

Focus on leakage, friction, and wear

Our hydraulic test stands allow for the evaluation of reciprocating and rotating seals, with a focus on leakage, wear, and friction. Haagensen can perform seal performance testing, optimize seals, and conduct failure analyses.

Reciprocating test rig

Our reciprocating test rig is specifically designed to evaluate the performance of both rod and piston seals.

With precise measurement functions, it enables in-depth analysis of sealing behavior aimed at optimizing performance.

The test rig offers great flexibility, as parameters such as pressure, speed, diameter, stroke length, and temperature can be adjusted to meet your specific testing requirements.

We regularly use this test rig for academic purposes, where the precision of measurements meets scientific standards.

We handle post-processing and provide detailed reports for all measurements.

Test capabilities and conditions

Technical Data:

  • Pressure: 0-200 bar
  • Speed: 10-200 mm/s
  • Diameters: 18-50 mm (rod), 25-63 mm (bore)
  • ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil
  • Stroke length: 0-400 mm
  • Temperature: 20-25°C

Measurements:

  • Friction
  • Leakage
  • Oil pressure
  • Oil temperature

Test rig for rotary seals

Our test rig for rotary seals is designed to evaluate the performance of shaft seals made of both rubber and thermoplastics.

The test rig is capable of testing seals in pressurized conditions while measuring important characteristics such as friction torque, leakage and wear.

The test rig is highly modular and hence offering excellent flexibility with respect to test parameters and seal geometry.

The test rig is regularly used for academic purposes and meets scientific standards.

We handle post-processing and deliver comprehensive reports for all our measurements.
